Leicester 2 vs Leicester Squash (away)

In a match they were hoping to win, especially when the opposition talked about suffering from unavailability and injuries, the 2nds were disappointed to go down 2-3 last Tuesday.

The match kicked of with Tom Paton playing at 5 against a player of similar looking ability. Tom started off well winning thefirst match his opposition ran well in the remaining games, getting to all the short drops and Tom eventually lost 3-1.

At the same time, Pete Wheat was playing at number 4. Pete's rather unorthodox style often out foxes his opposition, and his fitness usually allows him to grind out good wins, however on this occasion his opponent managed to read him well and edged Pete out in the 4th.

Next on was Steve Avil, playing an awkward player at 3, and going down 3-0.

The final two matches saw John MacDonald play Steve Sibley at 2, and Mike turner making his season debut at 1. John showed his youth and fitness, beating Sibley 3-0. Turney, coming back from injury, lacked match fitness but his experience paid off winning 3-1.

Next week the team are looking ofrward to the first of 2 home games. Everyone is welcome to come and support on Friday evening
