Hello all

We won 3-2 beating the leagues top team !!

Due to injury we were short of the stalwart Mr Balme, however Mark Christison was drafted in last minute for Charlie D & he made all the difference by  playing No 1 & pushing all other down a place

Mark started the night well by beating Nick in the first rubber & setting a positive tone

Mr Turney senior lost after a valiant effort & looked the fittest we've seen him in years!

But the crowning glory went to the 2 youngsters (NO not  yours truly) but Jack T & Martin T , both winning well ,martin demolished his man 3-zip!!! &  with Jacks exhausting game securing the match overall 3-2 & leaving John Groome limping off court , that silenced the gallery of overly vocal '' Daventrites '' , who clearly won't be top of the league for long !!!

P.S. Whilst I lost 3-0 it had nothing to do with my saints attire, a classic Saints shirt !!!
