Ladies vs Hermitage 3

Tuesday saw the ladies playing against Hermitage 3 at home. First on Court at number 4 was Alison Avil. In an exciting match Avil came back from 2-0 down against an opponent she lost 3-0 to a few weeks ago away from home, to level at 2-2, taking the fourth game 9-1 with some accurate serving. However, she ran out of steam in the 5 and lost 2-3.

On the adjoining court, Lizzie Turney was putting in a gutsy performance at number 3, but eventually lost that game, 1-3.

That left Captain Sarah Pickering and Sandy Lane at number 1 to restore Harborough's pride.

Sandy won comfortably, and Sarah dug in for a win at number 2.

So a winning draw for the team.
