MiniSquash Carnival

mini squash carnival.jpgLast Saturday, Market Harborough Squash & Racketball Club members decided to take squash to the public, rather than wait for them to find them. They took a Minisquash wall to Market Harborough Carnival, setting up in the Carnival Show Ground in Market Harborough.

In 5 hours they had around 70 youngsters (about 63 boys, 5 girls) and a few of their parents having ago at squash. The youngest was a 3 year old, who didn't want to miss out on something his sister was trying! The average age of the children was 9 - 12. All but about 3 of the youngsters were playing for the first time.

Mini Squash Carnival 2.jpgThe Club is following it up with an Open day and BBQ on Sunday 28th June.

They also offered two months free membership to one of the lucky people who left their details.

Many of the children and parents were keen to see the wall taken out to their schools, having sampled minitennis in schools before.
